In Tankist, it has been a long shock tradition that one of us angrily snarls „LEGION“ for the other to answer in a loud screech „ESTLAAAAAAAAAAAND!“ and heads will turn around... So it's natural that for Loits' 20th anniversary we thundered together a cover of „The Song Of The Old Legionaries.“ We joined forces with soldiers from the afterlife incarnated as Viljandi male choir Sakala and a war organ was operated by a gifted music student Taniel Kuntu. Let the intense salvo ring in your speakers forever!

Originally recorded for the international tribute compilation project held by Azermedoth Records and first put on CD by Loits' own label Flak'n'Roll. All artists present on the full double album are: GENKA / PAUL OJA, GORESOERD, VAL TVOAR feat. Väike PRints, FORGOTTEN SUNRISE, REVOLVER, SORTS, SÕJARUUN, TANKIST, THOU SHELL OF DEATH, TAPPER, ULGURÄND, DECEITOME, MORTALISM and A.K.G. from Estonia, URSKUMUG from Latvia, KARELIAN WARCRY from Finland and ZEBULON KOSTED from USA.

Vanade leegionäride laul

Läbi surma ja raskuste viis me tee
Ja paljud meist langesid põrmu
Kui ka viimase meheni langeme
Meie poegadel tuleb siis võita

Ei taha me sambaid, soovime vaid
Oma maad, me rahvuse uhkust
Et kunagi ühegi vaenlase jalg
Ei rüvetaks enam ta puhtust

Võtad, poeg, minult mõõga, ma tean
Oma kindlasse noorde pihku
Ja rinna siis vaenlase vastu sead
Eales sa rivist ei lahku

Võime rahuga minna, kui tuleb aeg
Sest vahetus võetud on vastu
Ma Toonelast sinule ulatan käe
Ära murdu, noor sõber, pea vastu

The Song of Old Legionaries

Our path led through death and hardships
Many of us perished
If every man should fall
Then our sons inherit victory

We need no pillars, we just want
Our land, the pride of our nation
Let no enemy step on its soil
And desecrate its purity

My son, you'll take my sword, I know
Firmly in your young hand
And face the enemy bravely
Never leaving the ranks

In due time, we can go in peace
You have taken over the shift
I'll give you a hand from Toonela
Don't falter, my friend, hang on
